Marrakech, Fez and Tangier: prepare your stops and your eSIM

By eSimaxi · Published on September 7, 2026 · 2 min read

A route through Marrakech, Fez and Tangier involves several arrivals and transfers. A useful connection starts with a clear itinerary: where you sleep, how you get there and which documents you will need along the way.

Choose your bases before adding excursions

Allocate nights to the places you want to explore. Check intercity journey options before fitting activities around them. Leave room for transfers and arrival formalities at accommodation. The Moroccan National Tourist Office provides practical transport information; confirm schedules, booking conditions and costs for your dates with the relevant provider.

Save precise addresses and meeting points

Keep the accommodation address, contact details and a nearby landmark. Ask for arrival instructions if access is unclear. When arranging a transfer, agree on a specific meeting point rather than relying only on a neighbourhood name. Store a copy offline so a temporary lack of reception does not prevent you from finding the right place.

Match the plan to Morocco and your other stops

Check that MA appears in the selected plan. A range called Africa, Maghreb or World does not mean every product includes every country in that area. If a stop in Spain or France is also planned, search the countries together and compare common coverage with separate local options. Read any partial results carefully.

Set up useful data habits before departure

Download maps and travel documents, then check recent phone usage to estimate the allowance. Reserve enough data for navigation, messages and any work you expect to do. A daily allocation and a total allowance work differently; review reduced-speed and tethering conditions. Check installation and validity instructions before activating the eSIM.
