EUROPE

France, Spain and Italy: choose an eSIM for your itinerary

By eSimaxi · Published on September 7, 2026 · 2 min read

Paris, Barcelona and Rome can be bases for a European trip, but adding countries does not necessarily mean adding eSIMs. Define the route first, then search for a plan that actually covers every stop.

Draw the route before booking

Mark your bases on a map and compare transport options for each connection. Do not squeeze the three cities into a schedule that leaves no time to enjoy them. France.fr presents rail as an option for travel in France and Europe. Check services, required reservations and fares for your dates with the operators. france.fr

Keep bookings within reach

Download tickets when the transport app allows it. Save accommodation addresses and exact station or airport names. In a new city, a saved location can be more useful than a long sightseeing list. Keep an offline copy for journeys and late arrivals.

Read each MAXI plan’s coverage

The destination count for a MAXI range describes availability across its different products. It does not automatically apply to every plan. For France–Spain–Italy, search FR, ES and IT together and check all three in the selected product. Repeat the check if adding Switzerland, the United Kingdom or another stop: the name Europe is not sufficient.

Compare data and validity for the whole trip

Validity must cover all stages according to the plan’s start rule. A daily quota and a total allowance distribute usage differently. Save photo backups and large downloads for a suitable connection. If your usual subscription already includes some roaming, check its conditions to avoid an unnecessary purchase.
