Travel budget: compare expenses and eSIM prices

By eSimaxi · Published on September 7, 2026 · 2 min read

A useful budget starts with your route and quotes. A daily figure with no dates, city or accommodation type can appear precise without fitting your trip.

Separate group and individual costs

Count accommodation per night for the group, then meals and local travel per person per day. Add return travel, activities and documents. Do not multiply a booking again if its quote already covers the group. Keep days at the destination separate from nights.

Compare quotes in the same currency

Use identical dates, baggage and cancellation terms for transport comparisons. Check what accommodation quotes include. Keep currencies separate until you have chosen a conversion rate and applicable fees. Country-page calculators do not convert currencies automatically.

Understand a plan’s starting price

A 100 MB eSIM can cost less than a larger allowance without serving the same need. Compare validity and its start rule too. The calculator suggests our lowest-priced plan that can cover your entered duration; its allowance may still be insufficient. Look at other plans before choosing.

Match connectivity to the whole route

For several countries, compare a shared plan with the required local options. Check exact coverage and how many eSIMs the group needs. The calculator assumes one eSIM per traveller; adapt the preparation if your needs differ. Keep a personal margin for itinerary changes and save key information offline.
